Jean Dorothy Reynolds

June 7, 1918 – August 16, 2017

Passed away peacefully at her home at Amica Bayview. Loving wife of the late E.G. (Bill) Reynolds (2000). Beloved mother of Joyce, Ruth and her husband Michael Watton and Don and his wife Patricia Reeves. Proud grandmother of Jeremy Watton and his wife Meghan, Jennifer Watton, Daniel Watton, Brittany Birimcombe and her husband Dave, Melanie Watton, Caitlin Reynolds and Mark Reynolds. Great-grandmother of Ace and Wylee Watton and Brooke Birimcombe. Predeceased by her two brothers George (1994) and Richard (2001) and by sister-in-law Doris Robertson (2013). Survived by sister-in-law Lily Robertson of Leduc, Alberta. Jean loved family, friends, bridge, volunteering and generally helping others. She shunned the spotlight, looked for the best in others and had the most positive outlook on life. She was curious, engaged, a knowledge seeker, fun-loving and enjoyed discussing world events. Thank you to Dr. Nizar Mohamed and Toronto Western Hospital for knee replacements after the age of 90 that dramatically improved her quality of life over the last decade. The family also wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Amica Bayview for their loving care. Visitation will be held at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Thursday, August 24th from 6-8 p.m. Memorial service in the Chapel on Friday, August 25th at 11 a.m. If desired, donations to the Campaign to Cure Arthritis at the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation or Bayview United Church would be appreciated.
