Joan Marguerite Burrell

Peacefully, on April 28, 2007 in her 77th year surrounded by all her family, at Mount Sinai Hospital, after a sudden illness. Beloved wife of Dr. Archie Park Burrell. Loved mother of Anne (Wayne) Scanlan of Ottawa, John (Barb), Sylvia (Michael) Simon of London, Elaine (John) Maclagan, Ruth (Mark) Cvar of Mount Royal, and Andrew. Adored and caring grandmother of Eric, Laura, Sarah, Matthew, Mark, David, Elizabeth, Connor, Liam, and Anna. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Mildred Cutler (deceased), Vivian Janes, Carol Brodie, and their families. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Forest Grove United Church (43 Forest Grove Drive, Toronto). Donations in Joan's memory can be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation (Leukemia Research).
