I will miss waving to him across the fence when I am at my parents' house.
I always remember talking to him about peach trees and learning his gardening tips.

I wish to offer my sincerest condolences to the family of
Johann "Hansi" Kesthely, a man who lived a long and kind life; always ready to help friends in need and without expecting anything in return. He was a good friend of my family for some 65+ years and has left me with many fond memories. With a joke or two, and his wry sense of humour, he could always be counted on  to be the life of any party. He was a classy individual, with his dignified demeanour, who would never put anyone down or say a bad word. He was also a reliable friend to all  of those from the "old" country. Finally, he loved and cared for his family to the end. That's the kind of gentelman that he was and that I will remember most. He had a good run and who says that only the good die young!

Although I have never met Johann, the stories that were related to me through his family, described him as an honorable gentleman who placed importance on his family.
Not many can say that they have been married for as long as he and oma.
