Peacefully, surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren on Thursday August 17th, 2006 at North York General Hospital, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Teresa Giles (1994). Loving father of Paul (Maret), Brendan (Hilda), Michael, and Linda (Aldo). Cherished "Granpa Joe" of Sean, Siobhan, Roisin, Roseen, Caitriona, and Eileen. Joe will be dearly missed by his brothers Walter, Dermot, and Sammy, sister-in-law Iris, and fondly remembered by extended family in Ireland and Canada. Friends may call on Monday August 21st, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure's Roman Catholic Church, (1300 Leslie Street, south of Lawrence Ave.), on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
