Dear Marcella , Jamie and Alice I can't say how sorry I am to hear about Jack. I just heard of this the other day , and it took me back to all the fun Mom and Dad had with Jack and Marcella. I loved it when you came over to visit , the house was always filled with laughter. It was wonderful to read all of the tributes to Jack from his students. Well, the two Jacks are together at Holy Cross now, and I am sure the jokes are flying!!!!! My sincere condolences to you all , from all of the Coburns

I was saddened by the news of Jack's passing, as I am certain were all of his former students. He was a man of great stature who carried himself with a quiet and professional manner. As a somewhat undisciplined young man in the last year of the one year program ('67/68), I found new respect for the Public Health realm and particularly for the Public Health Inspector field through Jack's patience and knowledge. Many years later during a stint as National President of CIPHI I crossed paths with Jack again and was amazed at his recall of me as a student. He also expressed some surprise that I was able to make it to the President role based on his recall of my student days! He had a way of making everyone feel he followed their career with interest. To Jack's family, I simply wish to say the world is a better place through Jack's contributions. He made those contributions always with respect for and love of his family.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Jack was the best Instructor I had at Ryerson(79-81).The knowledge that Jack imparted lives on through me and many, many others.

I was saddened to hear about Jack's passing. He was one of my Ryerson professors 1973-75 and was a very sweet and gentle man and a wonderful teacher. He was a very highly respected Public Health Inspector and teacher. My deepest sympathies.

My thoughts are with your family. Jack taught me at Ryerson in the 1970's. I will always remember his sense of humour and his commitment to public health. To Marcella and the Park family... we were both privileged to have Jack as a teacher when we went through the public health program at Ryerson during the 1970s. He was a gifted instructor and one of the rare professors who stays in your memory over a lifetime. Our deepest sympathy to you all. We will keep him in our prayers. Judy and Steve

Dear Park Family, Jack was truly a professor to remember. He was my introduction to public health in 1982 at Ryerson. I remember his smile and laugh, his great suit jackets!- as well as his seriousness about public health. He provided a solid foundation to our profession and will always be remembered by me fondly.
