It is a sad thing to say farewell to a loved one, even more so, to a sibling. As a friend and admirer of the family, my heart goes out to each of you.

My beloved Auntie Judy,

We had many years of good memories, for you were a loving and most cherished Aunt of mine. Up until the end, you demonstrated your love so generously to us.

We continually witnessed your strength, determination, and grit throughout your life, insisting on your own terms where possible. 

Thank you for the lessons I learned because of your experiences. I am sorry for all the times you may not have felt seen, heard, or even understood. You lived your life as valiantly as you knew how, despite the intersectionality of challenges you faced daily; the ones we knew about, and the ones we did not.

This Easter weekend, as we celebrate the victory over death and the promise of eternal life made possible by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I am especially thankful that you are now at peace, free, and thriving in the way that you were designed to. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:28 

I miss you and look forward to the day that I will see you and all my dearly departed again. You are forever loved!
