Julia Rosemary LaJambe-Dreger

Passed away peacefully Sunday, May 31, 2015, with her family by her side. Beloved mother of Larry LaJambe (Ali) and Lesley Adoranti (Larry). Loving grandmother to Suzanne (Mike), David and Tanya and great-grandmother to Kayla and Colby. Predeceased by Elmo LaJambe, Fred Dreger and Les Tibbles. Born and raised in Toronto, Julia led an active life enjoying the theatre, the art world, travelling, gardening, entertaining and most of all, family. Along with her siblings, Julia co-owned John Britnell Art Gallery, buying and selling fine art and antiques worldwide. Julia was an active member of the United Church where she devoted her time and energy to the United Church Women. Friends will recall her fun-loving and generous nature as well as her extravagant dinner parties. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 5th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated.
