Sadly, this past weekend my mum, June Atkinson, passed away suddenly at NYGH.
She was born in London, England; but after emigrating to Canada with her husband, Donald, and her son, Malcolm in 1957 was proud to be a Canadian.
She loved dancing, going on holidays with her dear friend, Dorothy, admiring the flowers in her garden and reading murder mysteries.
Loving, steadfast, kind, generous, honest and not to be trifled with; she was the best person I have known.
She leaves a large number of people, both family and friends, who loved her dearly and will miss her dreadfully.
Remembrances may be made in the form of flowers. The more colourful, the better.
Private family service to be held. Public celebration to be held at a later date
