
Passed away peacefully on November 10th at the Scarborough General Hospital in his 85th year, with family members at his side. He is fondly remembered by his wife of 57 years Jean, daughters Beverley Dalziel (Jon Snowsill), Barbara Hathorn (Carol Hindley), Brenda Geden (Phil), son Blair, grandchildren Anna, Tim, Andrew, David, Cameron, Chris and great-grandchild Jillian. He is survived by sister Jean Frechette and brother Stuart. Predeceased by his brother Gordon. Ken served as a captain and senior supervisor in the Canadian Army 1942-1946. He retired in 1984 after 38 years of service to CBC Radio as a producer, operations director and supervisor of programming. His joy of music was shared through his piano playing for family, friends and the North York Aphasia Centre. The family will receive friends at a commemorative gathering at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Thursday, November 13, between 5-8 pm. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
