Kenneth Lloyd Jones

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ken on Friday, July 23, 2010, surrounded by his children at the age of 65.

Beloved father of Darrin and his wife Sarina, Curtis and his wife Alexis, Ryan and his wife Mercedes. Proud grandfather "Big D" to Julian, Eliana, Kloey, Andrew, Tyler, Kyra and predeceased by baby Kyle. Loving brother of Sara and her husband David McCallen. Ken will be fondly remembered by his many family and close friends. In true Ken Jones style it was his wish to have his grandson baby Kyle put to rest by his side; one last example of his undying commitment to his family.

Ken enjoyed a dynamic and very successful forty five year career in the garment industry where he will be remembered as a legend and a pioneer for his many accomplishments. Proud leader of his "gang" and family at Clothes Out Trading. Ken was a proud family man who enjoyed helping others less fortunate and touched many lives along the way (preferably at one of his many favourite restaurants). A mentor, role model and friend who will be deeply missed by all.

Friends may call on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in the Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
