Passed away suddenly, with his family by his side, on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at North York General Hospital at the age of 80. Devoted and beloved husband of Gwendolyn for 50 years. Loving and caring father of Cathy, Stephen (Lena), and Karolyn (Desi) Bermann. Predeceased by his daughter Janet Yake. Cherished grandfather of Amanda, Melissa, Meaghan, Kyle, Trevor, and Kasey. Survived by brother John and sister Brenda of Birmingham, England and predeceased by brother Jim and sister Kathleen. Larry will be fondly remembered by his many family and friends. He was a Past Master of St. Clair Masonic Lodge #577 and retired from the TTC after 40 years of service. Friends may call on Monday, June 16, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society
