Leonardo Polito

In his 88th year, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Bernadette Florence Polito (nee Notaro) for 57 years. Loving father of Dorothy Menton (Brian), Michelle MacDonald (Glenn), Sal (Marianne), Bernadette Edwards (John) and the late Leonard Jr. Cherished and caring grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Lena Longo, Monsignor Mariano Polito and Provi Scolaro and the late Joseph Polito, Christine Cordiner and Domenic Polito. He was an inspiration to his "angels" and the many others he touched in his life and will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. We love you. Friends may call on Thursday, March 7th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 8th at 11 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Church (3220 Bayview Avenue, north of Finch). Reception in the Parish Hall followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
