Madeline Rose Carter

Peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at North York General Hospital, following a stroke, in her 88th year. Madge, beloved wife of the late Bill Carter. Loving mom of William Alexander Carter and Deborah Ann Carter. She is predeceased by her 6 brothers and 1 sister and will be remembered fondly by all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends. Madge was a faithful founding member of St. Theodore of Canterbury Anglican Church and will be sadly missed. She served as a WREN overseas during WWII with the Royal Canadian Navy and was a proud member of the WREN Association of Toronto. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 21st from 7-9 p.m. and Friday February 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 23rd at 2:30 p.m. at St. Theodore of Canterbury Anglican Church, 111 Cactus Avenue. Private family cremation. If desired, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Theodore of Canterbury Anglican Church would be appreciated.
