Passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Leaves behind her husband of 69 years, Les Alexander of North York, their children Lyn (John) Hunter of Barrie, Margo Alexander (Gerard) of Calgary, grandchildren Peter Hunter (Una), Janine (Jamie) Sehn, great-grandchildren Griffen and Logan, and her niece Lynn (Don) Gale of Stouffville. Markie will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Spring Garden Baptist Church (112 Spring Garden Ave., North York). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spring Garden Baptist Church.
