Margaret Anne Goudy

Passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Monday, December 5, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Donald Goudy. Loving mother to the late Carol Anne Ellis, Gayle Haring, Mary Beth Kommissar (the late Marty), Paul, Brenda Ernst (Wayne), Cathy McNally (Peter), Bill (Mary Jane) and Don (Lynda). Proud grandmother of Maggie, Jeany, Cathleen, Andrea, Mike, Katie, Jake, Rebecca, Raymond, Marie, Angela, Alex and Lindsay. Great-Grandmother to Hannah, Ava, Micah, Marcus, Theo, Lauren and McKenna. Margaret was born in Ottawa and raised in Perth, ON. She graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Nursing and met her future husband, Don, one of her patients at St. Michael’s Hospital. Together they raised 8 children while she tirelessly served as a volunteer in many charities and community services including Blessed Trinity Catholic Women’s League, Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Red Cross. A loyal friend to many, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Ave.). Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Convenant House or SickKids Hospital.
