Mrs. Margot Eleanor Longmire

Surrounded by her daughters, Margot passed away very peacefully in her 85th year to be with the Lord on August 14th 2014 after a ten year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Predeceased by her husbands Jim Douglas, Bert Longmire, and Harry Barrow. She will be lovingly missed by her daughters Penny Douglas (Patrick), Patti Shevlin (Glen), Pamela Liston (Bev), and Susan Longmire-Fiks (Henri) and her brother Bob Nash (Sharron). Greatly missed by her favourite niece Shauna, nephew Adam (Marni & Aiden), and cherished cousin Margaret Simpson and family. Remembered by her grandchildren Shannon (Joy) and Tonia (Glenn) and great-granddaughter Tatiana. The family would like to extend sincerest gratitude to Dr. Harry and the caring staff of the Reminiscence Floor of Sunrise Thorne Mill. Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill on Monday August 18th for visitation from 1-2 PM with a service to follow at 2 PM. A private family burial will follow at Thornhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society of Toronto would be appreciated.
