Peacefully, with her daughters at her side on Friday, February 6, 2004 at York Central Hospital in her 88th year. Maria, beloved wife of the late Carmine Canale (2001). Loving mother of Marisa and her husband Tony Di Mambro and Erminia and her husband Frank De Vellis. Cherished Nonna to Leo, Adrienne, John, Sonya and Olivia. Maria will be missed dearly by her brothers Salvatore, Augostino and sister Angelina. Friends will be received on Saturday, from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Stelees). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paschal Baylon Roman Catholic Church (92 Steeles Ave. West) on Monday, February 9, 2004, at 9:30 am. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Chilrdren or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
