Marilyn Anne McVicar

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones at Mackenzie Health, Richmond Hill, at the age of 85. Marilyn was the beloved only child of the late Baden and Letitia (Teed) Carter and grew up on Dufferin Street in Toronto. She met the love of her life Jim McVicar at Bloor Collegiate and married him 5 days after turning 21. They recently celebrated 64 years of marriage. She leaves her beloved husband Jim, her two loving daughters Lynne Crocker and Cindy Elliott and her husband Bob, her cherished grandchildren Robert and Jaclyn Crocker, Laura and Lindsay Elliott. Thank you to Bernadette, her loyal caregiver for the past 12 years. Marilyn will be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
