In her 91st year, peacefully at home in Collingwood, surrounded by family and friends. Predeceased by husband, Charles and son, Patrick. Mourned by friends and family, including brother, Ron; children, Wayne (Isabel), Pat (Mary Catherine), Marilyn, Paul (Sue), Gary (Chris), Rick (Julie); 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and Cathy Kusiar, her resident guardian angel.
Marion was a warm, dynamic, compassionate woman with extraordinary vigour, humour and love of family. Without fanfare, she rose to every challenge, from being a big sister to her siblings while her Mom worked, supporting her husband as a police officer, being a working mom to six kids, making the second career move to Elliot Lake to open Blue Fox Camp on remote Kirkpatrick Lake, retiring to Stayner as Charlie's health suffered and relocating to Collingwood, where she helped new seniors get involved at her residence. She was renowned for her cooking, laughter, leadership, love of babies and dogs,and keeping us together with the latest news and photos of her entire extended family.
Visitation March 9, 2016, 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m., at the Jerrett Funeral Home-Vaughan Chapel. Celebration of life March 10, 2016, 9:30 a.m., at St. Paschal Baylon Church, Thornhill.
