Marion Elizabeth Eleanor Zeltins

Marion passed peacefully at Elginwood Long Term Care Centre in Richmond Hill. Beloved wife of the late George S Zeltins of Thornhill, and daughter of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Scott. Marion is survived by her siblings Robert Scott (Luce), Susan Beal (Sue) and Gregory Scott (Linda). Dear aunt of Sebastian, Erin, Kelly, Nicholas and Olivia. Grand-aunt of Logan and Parker.

Marion’s education at Havergal College and Victoria College (UofT) and a year living in France and Germany prepared her for a stimulating teaching career specializing in languages (French and German) at Thornhill Secondary School, Aurora High School and Dr G.W. Williams Secondary School in Aurora. Marion enjoyed exploring the world, travelling to Europe, Russia, and Africa during her time off as a young teacher.

Known by her family and friends as Mim, Meem, or Scotty she enjoyed bridge club, book club and most of all, cottaging with family and friends on Glamor Lake.

Marion will be remembered for her commitment to the care of her husband, mother and father when they needed it most.

The family is grateful to the staff of Del Manor Elgin Mills and Elginwood Long term Care for their empathy and commitment to Marion’s comfort and well being.

Funeral Service and reception will take place at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home - Thornhill (8088 Yonge Street) Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial at Thornhill Cemetery (Church Lane, Thornhill)
