

She is survived by her daughters, Jane and Judy; sister-in-law Sheila (George); niece Stephanie (Brad); great nephews Ben and Andrew She will be greatly missed by her many friends, especially her longtime friends Pat, Ruth and Hazel. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, son-in-law Barry and parents Andrew and Ida.
Marjorie was born in Oswestry, England and trained as a nurse at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where she met her husband. They moved to Canada in 1960. She worked as a nurse until her retirement and was active in various church and community groups throughout her life.
Marjorie will be remembered as a loving and loyal mother, wife, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She cherished her family and many friendships, and it gave her great pleasure to spend time with them and keep in touch over the years. She enjoyed reading especially a good mystery, playing bridge and travel (Las Vegas was a favorite destination).
Marjorie’s family express deep thanks and appreciation to her medical team and the staff at Hill House Hospice for their compassionate care for all of us.

A funeral service for Marjorie will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L4J1W3. A reception will occur Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L4J1W3. A committal service will occur Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, ON M4T 2V8.
