The Marchioni family, originally from Sudbury, ON would like to send our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Hajjar family. My parents met Maroun and family many years ago but they are now deceased. I myself have a memory of meeting them at a cottage where the warmth of their welcome was cherished. Our hearts go out to the family members who mourn. Maroun's loving wife, Elias and Sola we mourn your loss and hope that the beautiful memories you shared will comfort you. God bless Maroun and all his family and friends.

My late mother held Maroun in high esteem.  He was a good friend who guided her after my father passed away.  She always spoke highly of him; the brother she longed for as her only brother back home, had also passed. I was grateful for their friendship.  I pray she finds him at the gate. Rest In Peace.  My deepest condolences to tante Salwa & family.

Maroun, you always looked so dapper!  Janette loved to hug and get close to you  .... to smell your wonderful cologne!  

Our dear brother,  Maroun  .....  our family's loss is huge!  What you have gained in crossing over to your new life is to be envied.  While we are left to mourn and face life without you,  our hearts are lifted knowing you have thrown off the shackles of pain and suffering which bound you to this world.  You are seated at the family table with our loved ones who awaited your return.  The seeds of goodness and kindness you sowed on earth, through your deeds for family and friends alike and, above all,  your devotion to the Lord, have earned you peace and rest in His kingdom.   To our dear sister, Salwa, and family may you find comfort knowing Maroun was a good man, a man of integrity and compassion, a man we are proud to call husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.  Maroun, you will be missed, but you will  be remembered with much fondness and love.  God rest your soul.

Dear family and friends....Amo Maroun was a kind, gentle, sweet and generous uncle to me and my family.  The Hajjar family, including Auntie Salwa, Teta, Elias and Janette opened their homes to us when we first arrived to Canada back in 1980.  It was the most exciting trip of my life to finally meet our relatives that lived so far away.   Amo Maroun always made sure there was joy, laughter, warmth and plenty of food.  I mean really good food to be shared with everyone.  I remember vividly, many years later,  I mentioned to Amo that he made the best Makanek that I have ever eaten.  Without missing a beat, Amo Maroun started buying me a package whenever I saw him.  What a big heart he had and we will all miss him.    May his Soul Rest In Peace and may his memory be a Blessing onto all.   We love you Amo Maroun.

His friendship with my late father, W Bro Zoltan Lazar illustrated the values of masonic brotherhood and it is very much remembered and appreciated by me.
