

Marvin was a devoted husband for 63 years to the love of his life Cathy. Loving father of Michael Havery (Beverley Havery), Ann Marie Havery, Tracey Nord (Peter Nord), Gregory Havery (Yvonne Havery); cherished Grandpa of Elizabeth (Giovanni), Ryan, Dillon (Samantha), James, Carter (Rhea), Hunter, Matthew, Vanessa; adored Great Grandpa of Emily, Bruno, Jacob, Luca; wonderful brother-in-law and cousin; dear uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; and great friend.
Marvin lived a life of faith, service and love.
He faithfully served his community as a reader at St. Luke’s, serving at funeral masses, distributed communion to the sick and home bound as an Extraordinary Minister, and was a long-standing member of The Knights of Columbus.
Marvin served his community volunteering for numerous political election campaigns. He was a convenor for hockey games, coached baseball, was a Cubs and Scouts Master, and called out Bingo for The Knights of Columbus.
Marvin was a Chemical Engineer at Canada Colors and Chemicals for 40 years.
His love of family was the most important thing to him. He would go the extra mile for anyone. He always had a warm smile, kind words and made everyone feel welcomed.
Marvin was an amazing singer. His repertoire of songs was in the hundreds. He was well known for his corny jokes. His sense of humour knew no bounds. Marvin enjoyed travel, astronomy, was an avid Blue Jays fan, loved his fish pond and garden, and his home was his palace.
He lived a life of integrity and was a gentleman through and through.
He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
