Mary Apostolidis

Peacefully, with her loving daughter at her side, on Wednesday, February 28th, 2007 at The Scarborough Hospital - Grace Division, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Agamemnon Apostolidis (1944). Loving mother of Lucy Grigoriadis (Emil - predeceased) and James Apostolidis (Francis). Devoted grandmother of Dimitri, Agi, Sophia, George Paul, and Marianne and their spouses. Cherished great-grandmother of Christopher, Andrew, Kristiana, Alexandra, Emil, Theo, Athanasia, Romeo, Mirabella, Tulliah and Cormac. "Yiayia" will be missed dearly and lovingly remembered by her sisters and brother, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends here in Canada as well as the United States and Greece. Yiayia Mary's zest for life, positive energy and love for her Greek heritage was inspiring to all who knew her. Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Khoa Le and the staff of Floor 3A at the Scarborough Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. Friends may call on Friday, March 2, 2007 from 3-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral services will be held at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, (222 Burbank Drive), on Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at York Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, St. John the Compassionate Mission or the Hellenic Home for the Aged.
