Muriel Beatrice Angus

Muriel passed peacefully into rest on Saturday, September 28, 2019, in her 98th year.

Beloved Wife of the late George Scott Angus and dearly loved Mother of Charlotte and fiancé Jacob Hogervorst. Dear Daughter of the late Ernest and Ellen Jewell. The youngest of seven children, Muriel is predeceased by her sisters Mabel (William Johnson), Irene (Arthur Harris), Florence (Alexander Barrett), Hazel (Bert Groves), Winnifred (Herbert DeVille) and brother Frank Jewell (Marguerite). She was a loving Aunt to several generations of nieces and nephews.

Muriel was blessed with a long and happy life. Following retirement, she devoted herself to keeping her family together with holiday and summer dinner parties; maintaining George’s lovely garden at the family home; caring for fluffy little dogs; travelling with cherished, long-time friends and always being a loving Mom to Charlotte.

Special thanks to Muriel’s wonderful Caregivers – Alma, Catherine, Jona and Merci – for their tender care and filling Muriel’s days with smiles and laughter.

Muriel’s service of Thanksgiving and Celebration of her Life will take place in the Chapel of R.S. Kane Funeral Home, Toronto, on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; Service 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; Reception 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Interment at Westminster Cemetery.

Donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
