Peacefully passed away, with family beside her, on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Toronto General Hospital in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Charles for 61 years. Loving mother of Warren (Maria) and Alan (Henrietta). Cherished grandmother of Stephen, Valerie, and Stephanie. Predeceased by her sisters Helen, June, and Beryl. Survived by her cousin Shirley. Fondly remembered by Pat and Don. Muriel was a dedicated parishoner of Northminster United Church and volunteer for Newtonbrook Drop-In Centre. Family and friends may call on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Northminster United Church (255 Finch Ave. W.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newtonbrook Drop-In Centre.
