Nicholas Barbetta

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 30, 2010 at his home at the age of 83. Predeceased by his loving wife June (nee Wilson), and survived by his devoted partner and loving caregiver Susan Havers and his eight children Nick Jr., Tim (Margaret), Peter (Francie), Cynthia Flannigan (Shawn), Patricia, Lisa, Stephen (Julie) and Cathy. Grandpa Nick will be missed by his 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is survived by his sister Mary Cleveland, and his brothers, John, Sam and Mike. Predeceased by sister Dora Powell and brothers Tony and Frank. Special thanks to the health service providers and the many caring family and friends who comforted him, especially Susan, his brother Mike and family friend Carol Von Zuben. Friends may call on Sunday, July 4, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church(670 Sheppard Avenue East). Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Southlake Regional Cancer Care Centre(Newmarket, Ontario).
