On Tuesday, November 4, 2014 after a wonderful life lived, Norman passed away peacefully in his 88th year. Norman was predeceased by his wife Isabelle, his sister Barbara Laidley and his brother-in-law Harold Nix. He is survived by daughters Lynne and Mary (Paul Strandberg) and son Peter (Debbie Clark), sister-in-law Helen Nix and grandchildren Cameron, Jacqueline, Thomas, Allison and Trevor. Norm will be remembered by his brother-in-law Chuck Laidley and family, many friends in Toronto and Pleasant Point as well as the many students and colleagues he influenced. Visitation on Monday, November 10th at 10 a.m. Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel followed by a reception at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
