Patricia "Patty" Elizabeth Wilson

It brings me great sorrow but also a small sense of relief that I announce to the world that my lovely Mum has left us. She was a devoted teacher to many for 50 years. No matter what school she was at she would quickly make impactful friendships. During her first year of teaching she met her best friend Liz, whose husband is my Godfather and my namesake, Peter. She was an influence to every child in her classes and that influence extended to their families. These relationships continued on for years, until the very end.

For our family there are no words to say how dearly she will be missed. Her loving nature was always felt whether in random gifts, insightful knowledge or just being available to talk and take any call. She always kept busy with things large and small. There will be a big hole in our family now that she is gone.

I must mention Lumina Resort, it was a very special place for us since 1989, and we spent her last good weekend up there after 32 years and were surrounded by family of our Lumina family.

Now instead of donations or anything like that, I’d tell anyone reading this to just go hug your mom or any mom… wait, don’t do that, it might get bad.

Just know she loved every one of you and she could always wear white and outshine The Man in Glad.
