It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Gerald Paul Solmes announces his passing on March 22,2023 at the Belleville General Hospital. Peter was the son of Jeanne and Gerald Solmes, sister to Shelley and cousin to Eileen Paulsen. Peter was born in 1950 and worked as a police officer for the Toronto Police Service. He was always interested in music and followed his dream by becoming a musician, singer and song writer. While working full time, Peter also played and sang in The Coppertones, the TPS Special Event Band. He will be greatly missed by his sister Shelley, his cousin Eileen and his second cousins Kim Ebrahimi and Rob Paulsen and their families. He will also be missed by his friends, fellow musicians and fans. A funeral Mass will be said at Holy Angels Church, 40 Centre Street, Brighton on May 25th at 11:00a.m. followed by a reception in the parish hall.
