Raniero Lustri

Peacefully on Tuesday December 23, 2014 after a lengthy illness, at the age of 81, Rino was reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Antoinette (nee Comella), who predeceased him just three short months prior. Dear father of Rick (Michelle) and Anthony (Nadine), and adored Papa to Marissa, Natalie, Mark Anthony, Diana, Emily and Jimmy. Predeceased by his parents Filippo and Grazia Lustri, brother Albert (Mary) Lustri, Uncle Rocco (Anita) DeDonatis. Will be greatly missed by his sister-in-laws Marie (John) Kearns and Sarah (Louie) Scola, his cousins Rina (Italo) Fabris, Viera (Ferdinand) DeVincenzo, Mauro (Carm) and Marco (Lisa) Fabris, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Rino was also predeceased by his brother-in-law Frank (Nell) and sister-in-laws Anna (John) and Christine, and also by his cousin Carlo (Lina) Cardoni. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 27th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon Roman Catholic Church, 92 Steeles Avenue West (west of Yonge, north side, Thornhill). Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated in recognition of the excellent care and support that Rino received over the past 3 years.
