Suddenly while having fun playing tennis at his snowbird home in Florida, Raymond Binkley went to be with His Lord, on Wednesday, January 31st, 2007. Raymond had a wonderfully full life and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Fay and his daughter Susan, his son-in-law Calvin Stafford and his sister Joyce Birdsell. He was predeceased by his cherished daughter Laura in 1993. He loved his extended family with great affection and was so proud of Sarah Aiken and husband Bruce and their two children Christopher and Cheryl-Anne, Julie Cairoli and her husband Jorge and their daughter Genevieve, and Vivian Palin.
Raymond graduated from McMaster University in 1957 and was immediately hired to work on the Avro Arrow. When that folded he worked at Crown Life for a year before moving to Shell Canada where he faithfully served as Manager of Computer Services until his retirement in 1984. He was adjunct faculty at Tyndale Seminary teaching courses on "Christians in the Workplace". He was given 3 score and ten with two extra years to paint. His intelligence and energy will be sadly missed at Spring Garden Baptist Church, Uxbridge Baptist Church and the community of Sunnybreeze in Florida. To God Be The Glory.
Visitation will take place on Monday, February 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles, in Toronto). The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Spring Garden Baptist Church, (112 Spring Garden Ave., near Yonge and Sheppard).
The Interment will be on Wednesday, February 7th, 2007 at Stenabaugh Cemetery, Jerseyville, Ontario. Condolences - www.rskane.ca
