My parents have known Ray & Adele since before I was born. Ray & Adele have shared in my major milestones in life and are good, kind, fun people. 

Ray was a wonderful friend to my Dad, visiting him in hospital, always offering support and a smile. At my husband Jamie’s bachelor party 18 years ago, Ray attended with my Dad. When I told Jamie of Ray’s passing, he shared that a friend of his still talks of Ray all these years later to ask how he’s doing and reminisce how Ray was the life of the party. 

My thoughts are with Adele and her family at this time and with all those who knew Ray. He will be missed.

My condolences to Ray Rivers Family.  May God give you comfort in the days ahead and may God give Ray eternal life.

Ray and myself started our training together at TTC.  Being with him made it easier. He was always upbeat and supportive. I never saw him sad. We lost touch for many years but reconnected over the last few years with luncheons in Beaverton and the yearly TTC Pensioners Party. Only good thoughts of being around Ray. Rest in peace my friend 💙

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ray who I had the good fortune of knowing and working with at Yonge Steeles Ford.  He was truly a wonderful and thoughtful person, happily making jokes and telling stories on our many drives delivering vehicles to customers.

In the early mornings when we met up to get the F150s ready for their delivery, he always had a smile on his face and a warm “Hello and How Are You Doing This Morning” greeting.  It would be just a quick stop at the Tim Hortons for a coffee to take out and then off to deliver the vehicles. It was always a pleasure working with him and sharing a laugh. Ray will be truly missed but always remembered.

 I am truly saddened to learn of Ray’s passing. So many memories full of laughter and fun pass through my mind. I will always remember the way Ray brought joy into the room. I was lucky enough to have Ray as a friend at TTC Lansdowne. He played hockey with us and I have great memories from the laughs we had in our dressing room. Enough said about that! One thing we always talked about was our boys who played in the OHL. Ray was always giving me advice and he really cared. I’m so shocked and grateful to have been able to be his friend!! God Bless him and condolences to his family and friends. RIP my brother!! Vince Chimienti.

OMG,not sure where to start,we go way  back to 78 when I started at ttc. So many great memories with Ray as I helped out on the lansdowne hockey team. Then much later we got together twice a year for lunch with a few other guys,Ray was always a great guy and fun to hang with.

He was always smiling and willing to go above and beyond
to help anyone who needed it.  
The world will be a little less bright without him here.

I first played with Daryl in 1985 and am proud to say I still know Ray (and Adele) to this day.  Although he was my parents' friend, I thought he was awesome.....literally everything he did or said put a smile on my face.......I can't think of anyone else that has a perfect record over 40 years.

Ps, give grandma stamp a big squish for me, cause you had the best hugs ❤️

If you were fortunate enough to have been a friend of Ray Rivers then you'll know we've lost a genuine and unique human being. Ray was a true force of positive energy, always ,with a mischievous smile, a laugh and always looking forward. Ray you will be missed.
