Robert Cormack

CORMACK, Robert- Teacher/Vice Principal for 35 years with the North York School Board, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the age of 82. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Arlene of 44 years. Loving father of Jennifer (Don Conrod) and Colin (Artemisa). Proud grandfather of Ryan, Braeden, Lauren Conrod, Rodrigo and Julienne Cormack. Robert attended the Toronto's Teacher College, receiving his teaching certificate in 1950. Teaching for a year in Stephensville, Ontario, he then spent the rest of his career in North York as a teacher and Vice Principal in several schools. Retired since 1986, Robert actively filled his time as a volunteer at Scarborough Grace Hospital for many years. The highlight of his week was Wednesday lunch with his retired principal friends, where he greatly enjoyed conversation and company. Robert will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
