(Bob) On Monday, August 13, 2012.In his own calm, patient, gentlemanly way, Bob left us at noon- bothering no one, just in time for lunch. He was 91, a WW 2 vet. Father of Judy, Paul (Sue) , Kevin, John (Brenda) Flanagan. Incredible grandfather to Caitlyn, Connor, Brody and Patrick. He joins the family that went before him - his son Kevin and Mary, his one and only love. He was a father beyond compare, a remarkable husband, grandfather, godfather, uncle, brother in law, neighbour, friend and ad man.
We will be sharing stories at Kane's funeral home (6150 Yonge Street at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Thursday August 16 between 2 and 4 and 6:30 and 8:30 pm and the funeral will be at St Gabriel's Parish at 670 Sheppard Ave. E. starting at 10 am Friday August 17. If you want to remember and honor Bob, he was a supporter of the Red Cross and North York General Hospital whose palliative care unit along with Dr. Jeffery Chin helped him achieve a dignified and gentlemanly passing.
