

Born in Glasgow on August 11, 1942, Roger, his wife, and son moved to North York in 1974.
He was a proud Scotsman and never forgot his roots. Roger was considered a man-of-the-people and spent most of his career successfully championing the rights of autoworkers in the CAW (Canadian Auto Workers) union. He loved UK football and was an active supporter of Manchester United.
Roger is survived by his wife Helen and his son Scott. He is also survived by his brothers Ian (and his wife Nancy) and Davy (and his partner Eileen), his niece Geraldine (and her partner Jerry), his nephews Stephen and David.
Roger will be remembered for his sense of humor and his dedication to family.
Rogers’s family will host a funeral service on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11am. The service will be at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON. This will be followed by a 1pm reception at Roger’s favourite pub: The Tickled Toad, 330 Steeles Ave W, Thornhill, ON
