Ronald Hugh Carlyle

Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Loving father of Rose Jane (Greg), Mary Ellen (Brian), Margaret Ann, John James (Nicole) and Tracey Marie. Known as Papa Ron to Liam Carlyle Raredon, Robert and Jamie Renwick, Myles and Jeremy Carlyle. Beloved cousin of Betty McKinstry. Predeceased by his parents John and Jean Carlyle. Ron followed his father's footsteps into TV broadcasting. In his 50+ years he worked as a film editor, producer/director, on-air personality and later as a freelancer in sports broadcasting. A true veteran of the industry he worked at the CBC, CTV and Dome Productions. While he was passionate about his work, his true love was family, music, and the people he worked along side.

The family wish to thank Dr. Klein and the staff of Humber River Regional Hospital - Finch Site. Friends may call on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation.
