Ruth Stevens

Peacefully, surrounded by family on January 14, 2016 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dewey. Loving mother of Susan (Wayne), Allen (Jane), Donna, Doug (Delores) and Jim (Monica). Proud grandmother of Wade, Todd, Mathew, Christine, Darryl, Corrina, Charlene, Chad, Courtney, Kyle, Sheena, Cassandra and Kirk, and great-grandmother of Tristan, Samantha, Ally, Ryan, Cheyanne, Loghan, Brayton, Rhys, Justin, Dylan and Owen, and great-great- grandmother of Brooklyn. Survived by sisters Norma and Nan, and predeceased by sisters Mary and Shirley and brother John. She will be greatly missed by her dearest friend Irene French. Special thanks to the staff at the Ross Tilley Burn Centre at Sunnybrook for their outstanding care. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. Cremation.
