Samuel Manna

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sam on November 21, 2011 at the age of 78. Loving husband of the late Patricia (nee Baird). Proud father of Paul (Janice), Patti, Tracy (Andy), Stephen (Anamaria) and Peter. Cherished papa of Brendan, Justine, Lucas, Madeline, Lauren and Riley. Dear brother of Mary (Lester Stanford) and John. Caring nephew of Carmen and Fiora Manocchio. Beloved brother-in-law of Nancy and Joe Bourgeois, Joan and Bob McDonald. Sam will be deeply missed by his close knit family of cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Sam was an accomplished and well respected Civil Engineer, owner of Ontario Formwork, and former president of CFAO. Sam was also a passionate and caring man who will be remebered fondly for his strong, over 60 year commtiment to the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund.

Friends may call on Thursday, November 24, 2011 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at St. Gabriel's Passionist Parish (670 Sheppard Avenue East). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund.
