She is predeceased by her loving parents, Liseme Dubie and Harriet Hattie, her sisters, Bernice and Dolores, and her brothers, John and Edward. She will be dearly missed by her family, her brother Donald, her nieces and nephews as well as her Sisters in community.
Sister Elaine entered the Sisters of St. Joseph on September 8, 1941. As teacher, she was in ministry in Ontario and British Columbia. She also served as local leader for her Sisters in community. Sister Elaine became a Pastoral Visitor, and through her quiet gentle manner brought much comfort and peace to those whom she visited. Visitation will be at St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 3:30 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto.
