Trevor, you are a man I will never forget. You taught me so much and gave me the privilege of getting to know you and learning from you. You are so missed...you will never be forgotten.

I  was shocked and saddened by the news of Trevor's death.
He was a kind and caring person who went to great lengths to accommodate my husband's special needs. For all of this I will be eternally grateful.
My sincerest sympathies to all of his family.


We meet Trevor over 30 years ago when he came to NZ as Senior Coach to our sons Water Polo Club.

He moved in next door to us and although he was pretty good at most things he was a lousy cook, so he dined each night with us as we decided it was the best way to keep him a healthy coach. 
 
So he became part of our family and over the years of letters and his visits to NZ and ours to Canada, we met his family and friends and our friendship strengthened.

Three of our sons also stayed with him for visits over those years and our second son met his wife through one of those visits so he had quite an impact on our family.

We have lots of  stories of Trevor, and he leaves many happy memories with us of our long friendship.

He will have left a great gap in a lot of lives as was a great friend and a lot of fun. 

It is so sad to know we will never hear from him again.

Trevor and his brothers were like the brothers I never had.  All 3 so special to me.  Trevor taught me how to water ski. He was so patient and encouraged me to keep trying.  Through the years we had meaningful conversations together that I’ll never forget.  I’ve prayed a lot for Trevor and am so blessed to know he made the best decision ever. Trevor was a big part of our family and we miss him dearly. It’s a big loss as he was our “Go To  Guy “ . Sympathies to his dad, brothers and their families and to Colleen and her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Trevor once  told me that most people he does contract work for become his friends. That was certainly true in our case. Besides being a careful, fastidious and skilled contractor with tremendous attention to detail, he was an enthusiastic communicator - always taking time to discuss projects thoroughly with us. Moreover, Trevor just liked to talk - about politics, the state of world events,  his love of water polo, and just about any other topic that might arise. But he was happiest when he could see and talk to his favorite resident of our household - Jordy, our Golden Retriever. Trevor nicknamed him “The Beast”.  In email messages to Trevor over the years I always told him that the Beast says hi. Trevor came over a few months ago to discuss another project Karen and I had in mind. Not too long after that we heard he had been admitted to the hospital. I sent him a couple of emails there, not realizing the extent of his condition. I made sure to tell him that the Beast wished him well. I will always value my friendship with Trevor.

Trevor renovated our home several times in the past 6 years.  Trevor was so considerate, kind and thorough that we felt so lucky to know him.  Trevor loved dogs, and made time to listen and chat with everyone as he professionally managed the work and projects.  We are so sorry for your loss.   Rita and Max
