He is survived by his spouse Maria DiBratto of 68 years, his children Domenic (Anna), Lio (Joanne), Elena (Dominic), his grandchildren Michael (Giulia), Laura (Claudio), Jonathan, Luca, Stephanie, Lio, David, Daniel, and great grandchildren Lucas, Juliana, Ryan and Serena.
Venio will be remembered as loving father who was devoted to his family and loved every moment he spent with them. He was very hard working and will be remembered as someone who accomplished more in his life with very humble beginnings. He will also be remembered for his love of gardening.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the healthcare providers for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Venio's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
A visitation for Venio will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L4J1W3. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 9:30 a.m at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 92 Steeles Ave West, Thornhill, ON L4J1A1, followed by a committal service and entombment at Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst Street, North York, ON M2R 1Y6.
