Predeceased by her loving husband Jim and daughter Shirley. Survived by her loving sister Joan (Wally) of England. Dear mother of Jim (Susan) of Bracebridge and Julie (Walter) of Toronto. Loving nanny to Shirley (Vlad), Daniel, Jamie (Pam), Cameron, Tristian, Christian (Diane), Shannon, Liza (Ryan), Devon and Marshall. Great grandmother to Skya, Jade, Ashton and Owen. Will be fondly remembered for her gentle spirit and kidness, by her family and many friends. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Extendicare Bayview Villa for their kindness and friendship towards Violet.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 5 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Urn Interment to take place on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at York Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
