Wai Ming Deng of Toronto passed away on March 6, 2012. She is predeceased by her husband Chin Meng Deng. She is survived by her four children, Ching Bee (Dave), Ching Lei, Cheng Eng (Linda), Ching Yuen (Wayne), and her grandchildren, Emily, Gillian, Carolyn, Carmen, Hilary, Allison, Andrew and Phillip. She was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 22 November 1922. Wai Ming graduated in Malaysia from Teacher's College with a teaching certificate. She was a school teacher at the Anglo Chinese School in Singapore before immigrating to Canada in 1967. In Canada, she worked for the Federal Government in Toronto until her retirement.
