Norman was a wonderful and kind friend for over 40 years. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He has now received his heavenly reward to be with his Lord and Saviour. He showed kindness to all he met as an example of a Godly man. Promoted to Glory. May God's love, strength and grace surround your family at this time. Fond memories of his life continue to comfort you now and in the future. God bless.

Uncle Norrie was always over when I was a kid always ready with a warm hug a goofy smile and amazing silly stories . 
He would always light up the room with his smile . 
Aunty Anne I'm so sorry of his passing all of you are in my heart and in my prayers.  


My beautiful big brother, I will never be able to replace the massive empty feeling I have now in my heart.  I can no longer tell you how much I love you and how proud I am of you.  Your actions were always kind, a loving brother and a faithful friend.  I got so much strength from watching you battle and fight to the end, always done with a smile on your face, and loving concern for your wife, daughter and grand-daughters. 

Until we meet again, your loving sister Faith.

Norrie and Anne Sawyer were close friends to my Parents Jack and May Reid.  Numerous  times they would come over to our house for tea and homemade Irish bread that Mom baked. When I was a young Boy I remember Norrie telling me his hobby was to play with remote control boats. I thought that was so cool... Over the years I always enjoyed Norries friendship and conversation.                                                       “Thank- you Norrie for the Memories and for being you”... What can I say about my beautiful brother-in-law (but more like a brother) during the 35 + years I have known him.  He had time for everyone and a great smile.  I could always count on him and his lovely wife Anne, ......whenever I needed to see them or talk to them. They always had love and kindness in their hearts for me,

Mr. Sawyers always had a smile and a hard liquorice candy to share. I'm glad I knew him.

The Sawyers family and the world has lost a genuinely good man. As his pastors for six years, we so much enjoyed and appreciated his faith, honesty and good Scottish humour.  We will continue to hold Anne, Sheila and the family in our hearts and prayers as we live in anticipation of glad reunions on resurrection day!


Norrie was a wonderful man. Kind, humble, hilarious. 

I remember  many times drinking tea, washing dishes and playing cards with him when he came over to our place to help us out.  He always told the best stories and had the best hugs. 

He truly loved and lived well. He always adored Anne and all his girls. 

Playing Euchre with Norry while Anne talked with my mother in our living room! He was a terrific card player.

Norrie was a long time friend, almost like a big brother.  He was an interesting, funny stubborn Scot who loved his wife and family and the Lord above everything else.  A person who made your life all the better for being in it. He would quietly help anyone without fuss or recognition. The world will be a much sadder place without him. 

He was such a kind uncle and did give great hugs. I’m sorry I can’t be there but sending lots of love to  aunt Anne Sheila and the girls xxxxxxxxx
