Bill passed away at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in his 90th year. Devoted husband of Joan Whittingstall (nee Nullmeyer). Loving father of Judy and Rolly Martin, Darlene and Paul Moran, Lynn and Gord Keats and Karl and Kathy Whittingstall. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren: Leesa, Dan, Tim, Kristy, Jeff, Karey, Kyle, Darren, Bradley, Mark and Ashley and 15 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews and friends. Bill worked at The Consumers' Gas Company up until his retirement after 46 years of dedicated service. Bill was also a faithful and active member of Willowdale Baptist Church for over 60 years. Friends may call on Thursday, September 27th from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, September 28th from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Willowdale Baptist Church (15 Olive Avenue). Interment to follow at York Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Yonge Street Mission would be appreciated by the family.
