We sadly share the news of the death of Alfredo “Freddy” Uñate. Freddy died very unexpectedly. Alfredo was born in East Chicago, Indiana on February 4, 1969 to Pedro and Manuela (Vara) Uñate (both deceased). He was a long time resident of East Chicago, Indiana before moving to Colorado.
Alfredo graduated in 1988 from Central High School in East Chicago and attended Purdue University. Alfredo obtained his gaming license and was employed at Ameristar. Freddy was the youngest of 10 siblings. He is survived by 9 siblings Juanita Uñate, José Manuel (Olivia) Uñate, Delia (Pedro) Camacho, Lydia (Domingo) Gonzalez, Pedro Uñate Jr., Norma Esther (Juan) Alcala, Emilio (Marlene) Uñate, Christella Azcona, Romualdo (Penny) Uñate. Along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and coworkers.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 5-7pm with Rosary at 6:30pm. This will be livestreamed.
On Monday, November 1, 2021, a Rosary will begin at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am, all at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street, Thornton. Interment to follow at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton.
