Alice M Stephens

September 20, 1930May 6, 2021

Alice M. Stephens of Littleton, Colorado, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021, at the age of 90 years.

Alice Minette Wissehr was born on September 20, 1930, in Belleville, Illinois, to parents Arthur A. Wissehr and Catherine C. Brandmeyer. She was the youngest of eight siblings – two daughters and six sons. Alice was later married to William (Bill) Stephens of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1951, and their marriage lasted for more than 55 years.

Her husband Bill had served in the Air Force, and when they were married they traveled to a number of locations for assignments, including a stay in Tacoma, Washington. Eventually, Bill was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado, and they decided to make this city their home. Together they had a daughter, Karen, and twin sons, Larry and Gary.

Alice lived most of her life as a wife, mother and homemaker, loving and supporting her husband Bill and her children. She was a person who genuinely cared for everyone she knew and met in life, showing forth a kindness that made her special. She will be greatly missed here, but her family knows that she has gone onward from this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Catherine, her husband Bill, her brothers Warren, Emil (Mickey), Harold, Arthur Jr., Vernon and Lester Wissehr, and her sister Henrietta Darr. She is survived by her daughter Karen, her sons Larry and Gary, and her grand-children Lauren Golubski (Karen and Don Winterstein), Will and Dan Stephens (Larry and Tahla Stephens), Courtney, Zachary and Naomi Stephens (Gary and Janie Stephens) and great-grandson Ezra Golubski (Joe and Lauren Golubski).
