Ben Candelario of Northglenn, CO, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 47 following a short illness of the liver. He was born on September 1, 1977, in Denver, CO, and grew up in Federal Heights, CO.
He attended Northglenn Highschool. He had lengthy retail career working his way up from electronics cashier to Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart.
He was involved in Gethsemane Lutheran Church. He was passionate about sports and could answer any sports questions he was asked. He was well-read and a movie buff, quick to lend out a book or movie for others to read and watch. He especially loved football, and participated in multiple fantasy football leagues. He could grow all kinds of vegetables and would give them away because he only ate corn. Ben was a friend to anyone he met and was generous to everyone. He used unique conversation to learn more about people, and often posted positive messages on social media, telling Liz, someone might need to hear something positive in their day. Ben and Liz could not have children and doted on their nephews and nieces, their 3 dogs, Jordan, Jade, and Kiara, and their sibling family dogs. Ben would always get “caught” at the family dinner table sneaking bites of food to all the dogs, and the dogs could always be found close by Ben. He immensely loved his wife and family and was loved unconditionally by Liz and their family. Ben was at every family function when not at work. Ben enjoyed attending his nephew and niece’s sports and school activities.
Ben is preceded in death by Benny and Rebecca Candelario (grandparents), Jane and Richard Valdez (Aunt and Uncle), and his nephew Tivis Coe Kunz.
Ben is survived by Elizabeth Candelario (wife), Brian and Kathie Moreland (mom and dad in-laws), Magan and Coe Kunz (sister and brothers-in-law), John and Jamie Moreland (brother and sister-in-laws), Brian and Traven (nephews), Adelaide and Kateri (nieces), Sarah, Tina, and Mario (cousins), BeBe (sister) and BeBe’s family.
