Betty Grace Steele Gibson, 95, died of natural causes on December 07, 2021. She was born in Pomona, Kansas. Betty married Donald E. Gibson in 1945, deceased 1985, they moved to Colorado where she lived the rest of her life. They had two children: Wanda Lee Gentz, and Linda Jene Drumm. Three grandchildren: Corey Jason Gentz, James Bert Drumm, and Emily Grace Drumm.
Betty worked as a secretary for Malley Elementary in Northglenn for 23 years, then retired early to continue her interest in art. She was one of the founding members of Paletteers Art Club and joined other artist groups as well. She was a prolific painter and also taught workshops. Betty received many awards for her paintings. She signs her paintings “grace gibson” in remembrance of her grandmother.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Spring 2022.
